Amra Kajan Does It Yet Again!!!

Winning is a custom at Amra Kajan Club. Since our inception, we are striving for excellence and bringing to you the best of the pandals so that you along with your family and friends have a gala time. This time also we have brought to you a stunning pandal with the theme “When Hunting is Your Target”. The ABP Ananda, a channel of the ABP News Network has recognized our work and We have Bagged the First Prize in the Paschim Burdwan District for our Sri Sri Shyama Puja. In the 39th Year of our celebrations we have won the prestigious “Alok Ananda Samman- Shera Pujo Award”.

The award was presented to the club members by an ABP News journalist on 19th October 2017. Mr. Amitava Ganguly, club member then explained about this year’s theme to the audience. He also thanked the people of the city for their constant love and support they have given to the puja over the years. The local residents were also present at that moment and overjoyed to hear that their puja has been award by the news channel. Mr. Debasis Biswas, General Secretary, Mr. Lalit, Mr. Joyanta Majumder, Mr. Amitava Ganguly, Mr. Pintu, Mr. Rana and other members of the club congratulated their team for their marvelous performance and also thanked ABP News for the award. The pandal has been designed by Mr. Gauranga who is a resident of Midnapore and is President Award Winner. We have been very privileged over the years because almost every year we win some prestigious awards for our pandal and people from various part of the state specially come to Durgapur to visit us and experience the Sri Sri Shyama Puja. The award ceremony came to an end with the club members and local residents dancing on the beats of dhak.

 

This year Amra Kajan Club’s theme is “When Hunting is Your Target”. We also know about the adivasi people who have been an important part of our society but for years they have remained excluded from the mainstream India. Amra Kajan through their pandal wishes to showcase their struggle for survival and how hunting is their most important means of earning a living.
